elZinc Rainbow® black, come wind or high water
Building on the sea front makes material selection even more important than normal.
A young French architect, Laurène Baratte, has taken this into account to design this individual house located in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, in Brittany (France).
Built on a triangular plot, the project echoes the local architectural style showing off a duo pitched roof. This simple geometry is reinforced by its powerful black standing seam zinc cladding.
The selection of elZinc Rainbow® Black zinc-titanium was motivated by the search for a material that would combine bold esthetics and longevity in a harsh coastal environment, able to resist both the climatic and atmospheric challenges thrown at it.
Corrosion resistant (classification RC5, in accordance with standard EN 10169:2011) elZinc Rainbow® Black does not whiten in saline environments and ensures a uniform weathering process due to its 35µm organic coating.
The elZinc Rainbow® range is available in various colour tones and offers exciting design possibilities… come wind or high water.
