"Courbes" exhibition

March 2025

An interior designer based between Paris and Provence, Bérengère Guénant brings her clients’ projects to life by inviting them into her distinctive universe, shaped by a nomadic spirit and a wealth of artistic influences.

Her sensitive, vibrant approach is deeply rooted in her travels — from immersing herself among the Himba tribe in the heart of the Namibian desert to spending time alongside the gauchos of the Argentine pampas. These experiences have inspired her to open a new creative chapter, exploring the world of textiles and decorative arts.

She approaches the art of the rug as something far beyond its purely functional purpose, using it as a canvas for stories born from the spontaneity of a single pencil stroke. Within her fluid arabesques, three worlds come together in a luminous and richly coloured visual language:

The Botanical — a symbiosis between the language of trees and that of flowers, in communion with nature.

The Mineral — a connection to the earth, foundations, the art of materiality, and its energetic and telluric dimension.

The Animal — a return to our primal nature, the instinctive need to reconnect with our deepest self and our wild side.

Each rug begins with an inspiration, a detail or a desire, and evolves into an exclusive, bespoke creation designed for both private and professional clients.

Functionality guides the form, while personality inspires the choice of colours and materials, brought together in harmonious compositions: bamboo, plant-based silk, wool, mohair and recycled nylon.

“Courbes” is the first rug collection by Atelier Bérengère Guénant — an ode to resilience expressed through colour and liberated forms, reflecting the optimism and distinctive creative spirit that define Bérengère Guénant.
