DESIGN PRODUCTS FOR INCREASINGLY GREEN BUILDINGS

The quality of Atlas Concorde's products is characterised by the study of new technological and design solutions that aim to fulfil the requirements of green building; every year Atlas Concorde invests more than 10% of its turnover in Research & Development.

The ceramic tile company from Fiorano Modenese, already ordinary member of the Green Building Council Italy, has renewed its membership with the U.S. Green Building Council, promoting international issues related to environmental sustainability.

Ethics, transparency and quality increase the added value of the wide range of Atlas Concorde products, which includes over eighty collections of porcelain stoneware floor tiles and white body wall tiles that meet the technical and stylistic requirements of the most contemporary architecture.

All Atlas Concorde collections have been awarded the European Community's Ecolabel quality mark, which is only awarded to products with a low environmental impact. Many of the company's product series have also obtained the LEED certification based on energy efficiency and sustainability standards adopted at international level.

Atlas Concorde porcelain stoneware floor tiles, in fact, feature a percentage of pre-consumer recycled material that varies from 20% to 40%; this contributes to obtaining 1 or 2 LEED points for the green building accreditation.

With these two certifications, Atlas Concorde guarantees the environmental sustainability of its products from the design stage, making them eligible for LEED points for the development of "green" buildings.
