The space Volta*: a remarkable identity for a new futuristic head office of TIGF in Pau.

A winner of the AMO 2016 Award, the new headquarters of Transport et Infrastructures Gaz France (TIGF), located in Pau, France

A winner of the AMO 2016 Award, the new headquarters of Transport et Infrastructures Gaz France (TIGF), located in Pau, France, was created in compliance with High Environmental Quality (HEQ) standards. This truly innovative building, designed by the architectural firm Agence 360º, is presented in the shape of a large ring (with a circumference of 100 metres), boasting no less than 10,000 m2 of offices all along its circular edge.

Thus far, 380 people are working inside of this building that has been conceived in keeping with the very highest sustainable construction standards. It was within the framework of an ambitious energy performance programme seeking optimal comfort in the workplace that Bandalux interior blinds were selected as the complements for all the glass surfaces of the 300 offices and conference rooms. The specific products were the company's vertical blinds in red and white Polyscreen® 351 openwork fabric, to match the building's perforated metallic vertical slat façade.

In the search for an adaptable thermal and light protection system to maximise visibility to the outdoors, particularly overlooking the landscaped inner garden, the Bandalux vertical blinds fit perfectly into this modern and avant-garde architecture, thanks to their optimal adaptation to the large glass walls and high ceilings.
