On the occasion of its 75th anniversary, historic Italian company Ugolini Spa has opened its new headquarters designed by architectural firm Barreca & La Varra, which has once again entrusted Bandalux to supply the sun protection systems. Measuring approximately 64,000 square meters, the space is divided into three buildings housing the different company departments (offices, production and warehouse), located around a large outdoor courtyard which, together with the surrounding greenery, reduces the perception of an industrial setting.

The project stands out for the linear design of its facades; the well-planned outside spaces with outdoor furniture and plants, encouraging group gatherings; and the large windows and glass walls, fitted with our blinds, allowing a view of the different surroundings and maintaining visual contact between workers.

The pursuit of user comfort and well-being is also reflected in the choice of Bandalux sun protection systems. A solid combination of Premium Plus chain roller shades inside and BSO motorized venetian blinds outside for maximum efficiency and energy savings of up to 10%.

The Premium Plus system with Polyscreen® 351 technical fabric, one of the densest in the range, offers privacy and thermal control in a professional setting with high light and temperature regulation requirements. Furthermore, it ensures a safe, hygienic and healthy environment due to its antibacterial properties and its easy cleaning and disinfection. As it does not contain any harmful substances, it maintains a clean and healthy environment. The architectural harmony of the exterior is complemented by the versatility and aesthetics of the BSO system, which enables optimum light management due to the adjustable angle of the slats.

Barreca & La Varra has thus managed to reinterpret historical Lombard forms using contemporary materials and structures, in line with energy-efficient and sustainable construction standards.
