NEW: made of cement-glass composite cladding by Betsinor
The maintenance centre of CFF (Swiss Railways) in Zurich is clad with over 700 GFRC elements, representing 5,700 sq
m. of facades, all curved and voluminous. The 5.40 m. long shells have been designed as 16 specific modules. The light and self-supporting GFRC elements helped to optimise the primary metal structure of the works, while avoiding the need for a secondary frame.
