Emirates Aircraft Hangar - Marlon Clickfix 1040

10,000m² of Marlon Clickfix1040 multiwall modular polycarbonate panels have been installed at Emirates Airlines’ new aircraft hangar at Dubai International Airport.

The impressive 25,000m² maintenance hangar has been designed to accommodate four Airbus A380s – the world's largest passenger airliner. Marlon Clickfix1040 was the chosen material for the stunning vertical glazing element which covers the entire building perimeter, providing maximum natural daylight and a safe and healthy internal working environment.

The attractive green tinted Marlon Clickfix1040 panels met the client’s aesthetic demands whilst also delivering the required performance standards for strength, wind loading, impact resistance and fire performance.

Supplied with a full range of aluminium profiles and accessories Marlon Clickfix’s simple installation is quick and efficient with no need for vertical profiles, reducing both material costs and installation time. It can also be used for roofs, as cladding or partitioning, internally or externally and comes in a range of tints and colours. For the Emirates project a series of colour trials ensured the Silica Green colour of the sheet matched the architect’s exacting specification.

Showing that natural light can improve the atmosphere and internal aesthetic of the largest and most modern buildings, Brett Martin, the only European company to manufacture all the main plastic rooflight materials - polycarbonate, GRP and PVC, has added the prestigious Emirates Hangar to its impressive global portfolio.
