Safe and user-friendly folding mechanism
Pliana doesn’t have the appearance of a folding table and its stability is equal to a table without a folding mechanism. The innovative folding mechanism forms a compact and almost invisible unit within the frame. Thanks to the built-in resistance in the mechanism, the legs do not collapse inadvertently.
Pliana has integrated stacking protection and can be stacked up to 15 pieces. With a horizontal or vertical transport trolley, Pliana is easy to move and can be stored compactly. The base of Pliana is available with round or square legs. These features and a range of options, sizes, materials, finishes and decors make Pliana a versatile table program for multi-purpose rooms.
Casala Circular fingerprint
In Casala furniture, recycled raw materials are used as much as possible in order to lessen the burden the earth as much as we can with the extraction of new materials. This furniture can be recognised by the Casala Circular fingerprint in the product overview on our website. Pliana is made of particleboard that consists of 85% recycled material, and the frame contains 35% recycled material, which is currently the highest percentage possible to guarantee a solid product.
About Jens Korte
After studying Industrial Design at the Art School in Hamburg, Jens Korte (1957) worked for several design studios. Since 1999 he has worked as an independent designer and started his own agency, Jens Korte Design in Hamburg. For Casala he has also designed the dynamic Lacrosse table, perfect for meeting rooms, conferences and many other uses where flexibility is required.
