Spa Klab: an oasis of wellbeing

The Klab project has earned Lapo Bianchi Luci and Camilla Lapucci from Cipiuelle the second prize in the “façade cladding, outdoor flooring, swimming pools and spas” category at the 11th edition of the Casalgrande Padana Grand Prix.

The use of a vast array of marble effect porcelain stoneware tiles of the Marmoker collection in Arabesque, Birimbau, Statuario Oro and Zebrino, the Marte collection in Botticino and VerdeGuatemala, and the Pietre di Paragone collection in Gré Grigio define the rigorous shapes of the spaces in the spa.

This project stems from the idea of creating a place where people can focus on their physical and mental wellbeing, a setting and an atmosphere that could provide shelter from hectic everyday life.

The first area you come across along this path is the Hammam. Its rectangular shape emphasises the grain of the large (59x118 cm - 23 1/4"x46 1/2") marble effect tiles of the Marmoker collection in Birimbau, used for the seats and the walls.

The Turkish bath is lined with marble effect porcelain stoneware tiles of the Marmoker collection in Zebrino. It features an octagonal shape with a water source in the middle. The space is enriched with niches on the sides of the seats.

The swimming pool with whirlpool is lined with 59x118 cm marble effect porcelain stoneware tiles of the Marmoker collection in Statuario Oro. On the other hand, 30x60 cm (11 3/4"x23 5/8") tiles of the Marte collection in Botticino with bushhammered finish were chosen for the flooring.

After a sauna or a bath in the whirlpool tub, the relaxation rooms are the perfect place to rest, read, and listen to the sound of silence. This wellness centre has three rooms, two of which are silent, and one overlooks the pool.

Tiles of the Pietre di Paragone collection in Gré Grigio have been chosen for the wall coverings, whereas tiles of the Marte collection in Verde Guatemala and bushhammered finish have been chosen for the flooring.

Each room offers an enveloping sensory experience, in which the colours, motifs, and finishes of the porcelain stoneware tiles emphasise the places dedicated to the body’s wellbeing.
