Solid marble that reveals itself when illuminated
At first glance, the Manhattan Lamp by Canadian designer Rodrigo Caula appears to be a solid, made from two pieces of opaque Carrara marble. But, as the tired idiom states, looks can be deceiving. When illuminated, a dusky orange glow emits from the white marble, suddenly highlighting the characteristic veins of the ancient rock.
