MIAMI BEACH
A triumph of colour and vibrancy
With an area of 511 square meters and located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Miami, the property is a 50’s building total renovation by Citizen Artist. The designers never lost sight of the idea of developing a design that evokes the heyday of Miami’s Art Deco period by re-interpreting it, however, in a contemporary way.
The palette of marine-like materials and colours is immediately noticeable at the entrance of the house, where the stucco made from aggregates of local crushed shells is a clear tribute to Miami’s famous beaches. A traditional walkway, immersed in a landscape of tropical vibrations and lush green, leads to the front door whose handle, made of cast brass, recalls the curved and rounded forms recurring throughout the whole project.
Artistic magic meets functional needs in the kitchen. The island, whose shape recalls the ornamental front of the furniture, features CEA taps in stainless steel satin finish. The faucet is also proposed in the bar corner, wall-mounted on a silver mirror, perfectly combining with the quartzite coating and patinated brass furniture.
Although each space has been conceived with its own kaleidoscope, the design of the house is cohesive and respects the themes of balance, resonance and repetition: the geometric sign of the arches is reproposed in all rooms as well as the pavement in hazelnut colour. The three communicating bedrooms have been designed according to different creative and chromatic solutions. The CEA taps from the CROSS collection find perfect placement in the bathrooms where the ribbed walnut washbasin furniture takes on the rounded shapes of wall tiles, cut and placed like a feather inlay.
The outdoor garden is like a tropical paradise. The colourful terrace and tranquil swimming pool create an atmosphere of complete relaxation, with finely selected furnishings that invite you to enjoy the hot days outdoors.
