Polycarbonate honeycomb

CEL's polycarbonate honeycomb finds major applications in deflectors for laminar-flow ventilation in commercial refrigeration, sterilized rooms, wind tunnels and climatic chambers.

Honeycomb-deflectors attain a significant efficiency of the flow, eliminate turbulences, reduce the transport of impurity and humidity, as well as noise and energy consumption.

All major commercial refrigeration companies world-wide use this kind of honeycomb. The versatility of the honeycomb is also demonstrated by the way it focuses light.

Polycarbonate honeycomb with a density of 200kg/m³ is also an excellent crash-absorber. Polycarbonate with a less density is used for light and transpiring structures.

The CEL honeycomb has set new standards for the absorption of energy.Uniform collapsing of the cell walls absorbs kinetic energy at a constant stress level until the honeycomb is compressed through 78% of the initial volume. We supply special densities, according to the level of energy absorption required by the costumer.
