K-Projects 2016

A new important reference has been added to the rich book of contract projects of Ceramiche Keope, leading manufacturer of porcelain stoneware wall and floor tile.

It is the 4-star Belchen Hotel, a charming building, with more than fifty years of history, located in the Black Forest in Southern Germany.

Surrounded by a nature reserve, the location has been recently refurbished, under the supervision of the architect Dieter Gemmecker, for the purpose of enlarging the Hall and including a modern Spa to offer customers a complete leisure package.

The porcelain stoneware collections by Ceramiche Keope have been chosen for the floors. Their colours and textures are a perfect continuation of the wood that characterises all furnishings.

In particular, Back (Brown colour) and Link (Ghost White colour) are the series selected for the Hall, by virtue of their stone effect; In&Out K2 Percorsi Extra, Pietra di Faedis, for the exterior areas, and Pietra di Bagnolo, for the interiors, have been chosen for the entrance and terrace; Sunrise (Coffee colour) for the bathrooms, to match with the natural wood of the furniture, and (Golden and Coffee colours) for the Spa. The combination of two tones has been chosen to give life to dynamic patterns amongst the various rooms and to create round ornamental compositions on the floors, which seem to reflect on the false ceilings.

Cutting round shapes from tiles has been a particularly challenging task. These cuts have been obtained by means of waterjet cutting technology, performed, with a superior standard of precision, by the Haecker company.

The Belchen Hotel projects confirms the strong bond between Ceramiche Keope and the world of design and architecture thanks to the reliability, competence and design that the company can offer its customers to fulfil any requirement. In fact, the entire production range stands out for its high standard of quality both in terms of material and design. This is the result of constant investments in research and development, which allow Ceramiche Keope to interpret new trends and break new grounds.
