The Averbode refuge house stands the test of time

The focus of this project was a former refuge house located in Belgium, more precisely in Diest. It used to serve as a shelter for the monks of the Averbode Abbey. This listed property built in brick and sandstone has seen many changes throughout history as it dates back to the 16th century. In the process of altering and renovating, our client added an extension to the building where he purchased and installed black and white bakelite switches and a plain Premier Dining Room radiator dating back to the 1920's.
