Parisien 1935 sofa now available in Cognac

We use time-honored methods in our workshops, with respect to the craftsmanship of traditional manufacturing:

Leather finish with 100% natural full-grain tanned sheep''s hides (10 to 12 hides per chair) – all our hides come from French taweries and are tanned using traditional methods (vegetable tanning)

Hand-antiqued patina – Natural wax and dyes

Feather filling for cushions with removable covers

Vegetal horsehair padding for the seat, the back and the armrests

Frame made of steamed and treated beech from the Vosges (France), a traditional woodworking region

Seat made of stainless steel springs and natural chair webbing (hessian)

Our specialty – The antique finish

All our chairs and sofas are made-to-order according to your choice of colour. Raw hides are put into place and the coloration done completely by hand. The antique patina brings out the natural defects in the hide (scars, marks…) and thus contributes to its old parched leather charm. The traditional coloration method is used for the club chairs. Each patina is therefore unique. The patina finish is always done on a pair of chairs at the same time for a homogenous result. Although we try hard to respect the colours in the photographs, the shade might be a little different. All our standard chairs have duo-tone piping, brass studs, and cushions filled with a mixture of feathers (for comfort) and foam chips (to keep the shape of the cushion). The cushions can also be filled with vegetal horsehair for a firmer chair seat.
