In 2012 Birgit Hoffmann and Christoph Kahleyss established their design studio in Germany. Hoffmann Kahleyss Design has been cooperating with local and international furniture manufacturers since establishment. Their furniture designs are unique, delicate, and are meant to be used for a long period of time. The most challenging part of making KARI Dining Side Chair (armless chair) was that to keep the strength without the arms and its elegant style all together. If supportive parts were added on the chair, it ruins the graceful design. After 6 times of trial and error in the strength tests ,KARI Side Chair finally passed the strength test.
