“COSONCO QS” is a new brand born in Asahikawa and Sunagawa, Hokkaido, established by CondeHouse and SOMÈS SADDLE. Putting together our respective techniques related to wood and leather, both companies have created a small product that is completely unprecedented. By proactively incorporating offcuts from manufacturing processes, they came up with a product that is neither a toy nor an ornament, and its presence makes one feel abundant in everyday life. Wood and leather. The processing technologies cultivated on each other’s land while interposing the Ishikari River become one here.

Meaning “communication with a distant land” in the Ainu language, “COSONCO QS” may be a grand “story” that started from the mutual recognition of each other’s stance on craftsmanship.

Howling Ezo Wolf - COSONCO QS

Ezo Wolf was a formerly inhabiting Hokkaido and called the Horokeukamui (the hunting god), the species coexisted alongside the Ainu people (the native Hokkaido people) .

Ezo Bears - COSONCO QS

Cute little bears. Somehow their backs look sad is one of their charms. CondeHouse makes the wooden body and SOMES gives its face with the leather. Ezo bears are the biggest bear in Japan and found only in Hokkaido, are called "Kimn Kamui"(the mountain gods) in Ainu language.

Town Building - COSONCO QS

Wooden blocks made from offcuts of various sizes, shapes, and types of tree, are lined up together. Whilst each has its own individual personality, the assembled pieces of "wood" look like a town made up of an orderly line of buildings.

This rocking horse was finished with care by the only craftsmen in Japan who continues to make high quality leather harnesses, and craftsmen who continue to make wooden furniture that is very comfortable and safe
