Service doors, Fire doors, CrossingGard Emergency Egress grille

A total of 21 rolling doors were specified for the American University in Cairo, Egypt. This included large service doors for an outside building housing the HVAC and other mechanical equipment.

14 fire doors were installed around the building, along with our CrossingGard Emergency Egress grille. The grille connects directly into the alarm system, and opens if the alarm is activated, allowing egress through the building. This allows the university to block access to certain parts of the building after hours, yet still comply to fire egress requirements.
