Outdoor Architecture in Tinos with COSPICON
CospiBio Slide and CospiSun systems for a contemporary Cycladic residence
For a recently completed residential project on the island of Tinos, COSPICON designed and installed an integrated outdoor living solution using the CospiBio Slide and CospiSun systems.
The project required a careful balance between unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea, protection from intense sunlight and resistance to the island's strong meltemi winds.
Retractable bioclimatic protection
The main lounge area features the CospiBio Slide retractable bioclimatic pergola. Its adjustable aluminium louvers regulate shade, daylight and natural ventilation, while the sliding mechanism uncovers up to 80% of the roof area.
All mechanical and drainage components are discreetly integrated into the structure, maintaining a clean and minimal architectural appearance.
Natural light and comfort
For the covered walkways and outdoor dining area, the CospiSun polycarbonate roofing system allows natural light to enter while reducing glare, solar heat and UV radiation.
The aluminium profiles were finished in a custom matte, fine-textured coating, selected to complement the natural stone and whitewashed surfaces of the Cycladic residence while providing enhanced resistance to the coastal environment.
The result is a refined outdoor space that combines contemporary engineering, environmental comfort and harmonious integration into the landscape of Tinos.
