Bosco Verticale

BOERI STUDIO (STEFANO BOERI, GIANANDREA BARRECA, GIOVANNI LA VARRA)

Cotto d’Este is proud to have taken part in the project, “clothing” the most stunning and innovative skyscraper in the world, covering the facades with a custom-made product.

Next to the large park known as "I Giardini di Porta Nuova”, two prestigious buildings, home to over 1000 varieties of plant, integrate seamlessly in the natural environment that surrounds them. Bosco Verticale proposes a new way of life, reconciling comfort, centrality and safety with the desire to live immersed in nature. An innovative project capable of regenerating the environment and urban biodiversity.

The ceramic material used for the external cladding of the ventilated facade of Bosco Verticale is Cotto d’Este 1.4 cm extra-thick porcelain stoneware, the result of a unique production technology: pressed 3 times and cooked at 1230° for over 90 minutes, this process guarantees superior qualities and technical and aesthetic performances.

The BLACKSTONE product designed ad hoc for this project stands out for its gunmetal grey shade inspired by the fine sandstones of Northern Europe.

The surface finish is “honed”, elegant and smooth to the touch. The following sizes are used for the project: 58X100 - 58X110 - 58X120 cm.
