HOW TO PROPERLY MAINTAIN YOUR URBAN STEEL FURNITURE?

MAINTAINING YOUR POWDER-COATED STEEL URBAN FURNITURE
Good news! Maintaining powder-coated steel is extremely simple. Except for special cases, you will hardly need to worry about it.
Regular maintenance:
Clean your powder-coated steel urban furniture at least once a year.
Use soapy water and a soft cloth.
Avoid scrapers or abrasive sponges, as they may damage the surface of your furniture and its protective paint layer, allowing rust to form.
Scratch repair:
Repair deep scratches as soon as they appear to prevent further damage.
For all paint touch-ups, we provide you with the necessary materials upon request: a touch-up kit including a spray paint can matching your furniture color. Before applying paint, clean the surface. Always keep a distance of 20 to 30 cm from the surface when spraying.
If the scratch is deep and has damaged the protective layer (exposing the raw material), sand lightly, especially if rust has appeared. Treat it with a zinc spray before applying the paint touch-up.

MAINTAINING STAINLESS STEEL URBAN FURNITURE
Stainless steel requires minimal maintenance to retain its reflective properties. But don’t worry, it's nothing complicated! Just follow these simple steps to keep your outdoor furniture looking new for years.
Regular maintenance:
Contact with chlorine, iron particles, aggressive products, certain environments, or shocks can cause staining, discoloration, or slight oxidation. This is why stainless steel requires minimal care.
We recommend cleaning your stainless steel urban furniture every 6 to 12 months in a normal environment and every 3 to 6 months in aggressive environments (pollution, sea spray, road salt, etc.).
Use demineralized soapy water, a mild detergent, or a special stainless steel cleaner. You can also use detergent products to remove graffiti. Always rinse thoroughly with clear water after washing.
Avoid using bleach, hydrochloric acid, abrasive powders, steel wool, and steel brushes. Never leave steel objects on your stainless steel furniture to prevent rust formation.

MAINTAINING CORTEN STEEL URBAN FURNITURE
With Corten steel, no regular maintenance is required, as exposure to the elements helps it form its protective layer. However, in cases of exceptional wear, follow these steps to keep your Corten steel urban furniture in perfect condition for a long time.
Regular maintenance:
Corten steel does not require any regular cleaning.
You can remove graffiti using a high-pressure cleaner.
Repairs:
To repair scratches or stains on oxidized Corten steel, lightly sand the surface with sandpaper, then moisten it until it regains its natural oxidation patina.
To repair oxidized Corten steel furniture with the Prymext® anti-dripping finish, follow the same method and then apply two coats of treatment.
