PROJECT DESCRIPTION :

Lake Madine, a reservoir of drinking water of 1100 ha created in 1965, hosts on its banks a base of leisure and tourism. Over time, although it is a regional heritage dedicated to leisure concentrating the memory of decades of users, this equipment had ended up falling into disuse. The ambition of the project is to break with this aging image and this character of dilapidation, to regenerate the attractiveness of the site by a remarkable and structuring development.

The desire behind the design of the project is to think of one and the same equipment, unitary and homogeneous, putting all the program elements in a public natural park accessible to all.

The design of the buildings and the space was done in one and the same movement through the design of the "boards of Madine". Both building, square and promenade, they have become the symbol of the renewal of the base.

The surrounding landscape, made up of afforestation, wetlands and vast meadows, is an exceptional and well preserved natural heritage. One of the guiding ideas of the project is to create a stroll that dialogues with the shore, multiplies the points of view and constitutes a new way of apprehending the landscape of the lake.
