Dickson canvases selected for prestigious renovation of The Peninsula Paris hotel
ALTO FR: the first M1-category awning canvas
Inaugurated in August 2015 following a four-year renovation project, the building has been carefully restored by teams of French master craftsmen and women employing
centuries-old traditional techniques. Some 900 people worked on this major renovation project, which was awarded the prestigious Europe EHDA design prize in the renovation and restoration category. Almost 600 windows on the hotel’s impressive Haussmann-style façade were fitted with Alto FR ALT U160 green Dickson awnings.
To comply with fire safety standards, the hotel has used M1 fire-resistant canvas, requiring 1,200 sq.m. of Dickson awning fabric, which guarantees hotel and restaurant professionals an unprecedented standard of safety. The canvas is also coated with a special awning Cleangard water and dirt resistant treatment.
The fire-resistant ALTO FR range is designed for professionals: people who need to guarantee maximum safety for their customers. The Alto range complies with all fire-retardant safety standards, including M1 (France - NF P 92503/504/505), B1 (Germany - DIN 4102), C1 (Italy - UNI 9176), and M1 (Spain - UNE 23.727-90).
