St.Germain by Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri
The evergreen classic appeal of an exquisitely crafted object
Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri has designed a new modular sofa, St Germain, for Ditre Italia,
which will be previewed at the Salone del Mobile 2016 in Milan.
Featuring a distinctive design concept which allows you to create compositions for the living
room by putting together different sized bases, St Germain is an articulated system of low
modules which, when combined, present traditional sofas with islands, vis à vis, corner and
end units.
Ditre Italia presents a highly evolved sofa which makes a statement in any living space:
St Germain becomes a real townscape, a landscape of elements which are defined and
determined by their specific functions.
St Germain sits on a foot structure with a black and gold finish which, while being an
example of architecture, is also a key detail: the gold metal celebrates the meeting of past
and present, giving the product a depth that does not overwhelm. The seat is soft and solid
and the cushions have sculptured lines which add a touch of class and understate elegance
to any room. The formal strength of the leather accessories allow them to be positioned
centrally, like the island units with their lightly quilted backrests. St Germain is also enhanced
by dedicated wood and glass coffee tables which offer a whole host of functions and create
a cohesive living space.
Ditre Italia confirms its vision of the contemporary sofa: just like the Paris district it has been
named after, the St Germain model is a fusion of classicism and contemporary dynamism
which team up to meet the most discerning furnishing needs.
