More than simple downloads of 3D objects in different graphical formats, DORMA Hüppe BIM solutions offer integrators up-to-date, reliable and precise product data for their individual planning requirements. Plans can be accurately tailored to each individual building and each application type ranging from simple, parameterizable partition system with central single-point suspension to stacking track assembly with additional access tracks located outside the main axis.

With each change in the dimensions of a movable wall, the height and width of the constituent partition elements are automatically modified. Pass doors and glass elements can also be integrated in the layout at the click of a mouse. Details such as wall abutments, suspension substructures and collision zones, or data relating to electrical connections in the case of automatic systems, are likewise indicated and incorporated in the objects to aid the planning process. At the same time DORMA Hüppe has placed particular emphasis on ensuring the simple and uncomplicated application of its BIM objects, placing a clear priority on their technical features and functions.

The advantage of such a detailed and realistic 3D planning capability lies in the improved understanding of a building, and thus its ongoing optimization, that can be derived from different simulations. Because each change automatically leads to instant modification of many interrelated parameters. For example, the planning engineer can simulate scenarios such as visitor flows or try out different modifications to the partition system configuration. The knowledge gained then allows reconfiguration of the partition– such as the placement of the pass doors at a different location – without undue complication.
