e15 at Salone del Mobile 2016

New releases in April 2016

At Salone del Mobile 2016, e15 debuts the modular sofa KERMAN and celebrates twenty years of its iconic stool BACKENZAHN™ with a special installation with ECAL at the brand’s showroom in Via Tortona.

A sculpted silhouette evoking ease and monumentality signifies sofa KERMAN designed by Philipp Mainzer and Farah Ebrahimi. Addressing a variety of requirements in private and public spaces, the modular system is open to individual use, striking a balance between elegant repose and modernist sensibilities. Highlighting the versatility of the sofa, e15’s presentation in Milan will centre on various combinations of the different seating modules, poufs and armrests in intriguing and distinct new fabrics. Combining or juxtaposing tones, textures and patterns with beautifully

tempered eccentricity is a signature of the brand’s approach to interiors.

Ideally complementing the sofa and new range of fabrics, kilim IZA by Philipp Mainzer appeals with its simple yet strong graphic pattern in contrasting colours and extends the collection of accessories. Also on show will be lighting series NORTH in a polished brass and stainless steel finish. With the new releases 2016, e15 builds on its comprehensive collection of furniture, accessories and lighting, highlighting the philosophy of consistent, progressive design coupled with high-grade materials and handcrafted production methods.

E15 X ECAL

Marking the twentieth anniversary of modern design classic BACKENZAHN™, e15 is proud to present a special project with ECAL / University of Arts and Design Lausanne. Utilising the same materials available to the company’s co-founder Philipp Mainzer when he conceived the iconic stool, Master Product Design students developed own interpretations for furniture and accessories under the guidance of designer Camille Blin. The installation in e15’s Milan showroom will show designs ranging from stools to storage and kitchen accessories made from the characteristic solid oak heart wood next to a selection of the company’s products and new releases.

EXHIBITION DESIGN BY PHILIPP MAINZER

Reflecting the clear and progressive design language of the brand, the exhibition design by PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN combines raw concrete floors and white walls to create a simple and modern platform for presentation. A series of high walls unfolds into distinct areas for the curated selection of e15 furniture, lighting and accessories and provides intriguing architectural viewpoints.
