Bastion Tower - Brussel
CARAPAX by EMBOSS
Every surface tells a story. Our story begins with a blank metal surface.
At Emboss, our designers embrace the challenge of transforming aplain metal plate into a sculpted architectural element, able to give character, elegance, and identity.
More than just a cladding, each surface is conceived as a material detail, designed to interact with light and space, generating unexpected depth and visual movements .
Where ideas take shape
It all starts with observation. Natural and urban lines, rhythms, and textures inspire us to develop patterns that merge harmony with technique, and performance with emotion.
We shape every detail with careful balance of proportion, geometry, and rhythm, crafting a surface that comes alive through light and motion.
A living surface
Like a carapace, every Emboss surface is designed to protect and cover, but also to dress, decorate and integrate with the surroundings.
The pattern CARAPAX by EMBOSS is not simply conceived as a decoration, but also as an architectural skin, able to elevate both interior and exterior spaces, blending into contemporary structures and creating harmony or contrasts with historic architecture.
Emboss patterns are sculpted to dress surfaces to life.
Endless possibilities, a single vision
From façades to partitions, from ceilings to custom design elements, our patterns adapt with versatility and personality.
On the roof-top terrace of the Bastion Tower in Brussels, the distinctive yet refined presence of CARAPAX merges aesthetics and functionality in a perfect balance. The project took shape with a unique character: from the need to cover up a technical room, to a tailored sculpted installation, with light movig across the glossy CARAPAX surface, tracing its contours and revealing its detail, while creating dynamic reflections that shift with the hour, the season, the gaze.
