The Arcangue city scenographic route
Discover the Arcangue town heritage trail with our Artmonie signage
The town of Arcangues has launched a project to enhance its cemetery, in which the famous Spanish singer Luis Mariano is buried. The Arcangues cemetery boasts a collection of more than 300 funerary monuments, including crosses and discoidal stelae, most of which are four centuries old.
We were chosen to bring to life a 10-stage scenographic tour with desks, wall panels and an orientation table. Mano Curutcharry (curator of antiquities and objets d'art in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department) and Sandrine Charlane, the Arcangues municipality's tourism and communications councillor, were on hand to help implement the project.
We made the furniture using our Artmonie range, incorporating powder-coated steel and enamelled lava decorations for authentic, durable signage. This range was adapted to meet the town's requirements.
With three historic monuments to promote, the furniture designed had to be approved by Bâtiments de France to ensure it blended harmoniously into the landscape.
Our work doesn't stop there! We also took charge of the graphic design for this signage. Laura, a graphic designer at Empreinte, created all the illustrations for the new Arcangues signage on a graphics tablet, bringing the town's history to life.
To discover the town's cultural heritage, we invite you to take a stroll through the town centre and discover its new signage.
