Milan’s Trippa restaurant goes for FAP porcelain stoneware

An informal and inviting “old school” venue that has the mood of a typical Italian trattoria with vintage furniture and an atmosphere that feels a little retro. This is the style chosen for Trippa restaurant in Milan. The design by Zero NoveLab architects picked out hexagonal porcelain stoneware tiles for the floors from the Firenze line by Fap ceramiche: a new shape with a matt finish and an aged effect that conjures up all the charm and appeal of old Tuscan farmhouses and the added value that only traditional hand crafted items can offer. The combination of the different colours in muted natural tones creates floral decorations that give the room a timeless and characteristic allure. The Decò version of the Creta collection of white body tiles was chosen for the walls of the bathrooms: a mix of different patterns with a vintage mood that give the whole space a soft and evocative character.

The result is a warm and inviting atmosphere with a firm suggestion of times gone by, combined with the excellent technical performance of porcelain stoneware, resistance to scratching and wear, non-slip surface and easy maintenance.
