The night-time version of Linea, the 100% glass canopy

How can I enhance the value of glass’ natural qualities at night as well? Not an obvious question. Sunlight is the essential corollary to enhancing the character of glass objects, particularly those for outdoor use. Like a canopy for instance.

Our company, acclaimed in Italy and abroad for its ability to combine technological innovation and craftsmanship, has found an effective solution to provide, in the dark, uniform light to a glass sheet that is transparent during the day. Linea, the 100% glass canopy, can be used with Lumen, the “night-friendly” glass. In a nutshell, our most famous canopy models can be fitted with a panel of special glass that can light up through LEDs installed in the profile. Lumen can provide sensational light effects, thereby enhancing Linea’s design in the dark as well.

The characteristics of this canopy model are the satin silver anodised aluminium profile (other colours available on request) and the tempered-laminated glass (10 + 10 + 1.52PVB) in the neutral transparent, opaque and coloured versions. Like all our glass canopies, Linea is very easy to mount on a curtain wall and extremely safe: the overload resistance of this structure is 200 kg per square metre if fixed to concrete or 130 kg per square metre if fixed to stone masonry.

Lumen, on the other hand, makes full use of the light-emitting diode technology (LED), known for being durable (its life cycle is around 20 times longer than normal light bulbs), economic (with energy savings reaching as much as 90% compared to traditional light sources) and environmentally-friendly. From our large group of glass canopies, the “by night” version of Linea is the one that offers the greatest impact in terms of emotional connection: this is why it is increasingly chosen by designers and our customers.
