Powerpanel H20: Complete water-resistant system for walls, ceilings and floors of wet rooms

The construction of wet rooms is a particularly challenging task: Bad workmanship or the use of the wrong materials very often results in the infiltration of moisture. The subsequent ongoing structural deterioration is time-consuming and expensive to repair. For the suitable expansion of indoor swimming pools, public showers, wellness and sanitary areas, as well as for hygiene-sensitive areas like laboratories, Fermacell has developed a complete system for waterproof construction. This includes Powerpanel H2O for walls and ceilings, Powerpanel TE for flooring and Fermacell Powerpanel TE slope set 2.0. Fermacell Powerpanel H2O is a cement-bonded light concrete laminated building panel with alkali-resistant fiberglass reinforcing mesh beneath both surfaces. Light, simple to install and available in custom sizes, this panel gives you all the advantages of dry interior construction, and its special composition makes it suitable for new applications. These factors expand the possibilities of classic dry walling. Fermacell Powerpanel H2O is water-resistant and enables durable and resilient construction even in rooms with high or permanent humidity. In addition, it provides good acoustic insulation and fire protection qualities. Powerpanel H2O offers 47-dB protection in single-layer format when installed with a suitable dead space, and 55-dB protection when a double layer is used. The panels are non-flammable and meet the requirements of construction materials class A1. When a double layer is employed with suitable insulation, they meet construction materials class F 120 requirements.

The Powerpanel TE flooring is installed such that the adjoining light concrete elements overlap slightly, constituting a support for gluing, screwing or stapling. The overlap, the handy 500 x 1250 mm size and the immediate walkability make for quick, easy installation.

The Powerpanel TE slope set 2.0 including stainless steel linear drain is a useful supplement for creating a graded shower floor. The 1000 x 950 mm panels can be used to create the needed slope. The set consists of 2 prefabricated elements made of a 30 mm pressure-resistant polystyrene insulator (EPS DEO 200) with a slope of about 2%. It is coated with 25 mm Fermacell Powerpanel TE cement elements. These also form an overlap structure. This

facilitates installation while guaranteeing a strongly adhesive assembly of the different surfaces when joined using Powerpanel TE dry cement. The package includes a drain and installation hardware.

When used for walls and floors in wet rooms, Fermacell Powerpanel products constitute a stable, water-resistant base for surface coating, tinting, plastering, tiling, natural stone facing and other treatments.
