GHOST 30th @ Milan Furniture Fair

AN ICON TO CELEBRATE AND TO EXPERIENCE. ALSO IN ‘MINI’ VERSION.

Ghost means shadow, trace, semblance, spirit, soul. Only glass is able to transform this abstract concept into a physical object, and the architect Cini Boeri and his collaborator Tomu Katayanagi were the ones to accept and overcome the challenge of giving glass the armchair form, container of human bodies.

Fiam, always attentive to the aesthetic and poetic value of the objects created, celebrates intuition and genius by celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the armchair, presented for the first time at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1987 and awarded as most innovative product.

With an initiative that aims to be the narration of the incredible story of Ghost, of the excellence it represents and of the cultural and social commitment of the company, the designers who collaborate with Fiam were called to participate in the construction of two Mini versions of Ghost to reinterpret and decorate by hand with paints in the colours chosen by Cini Boeri.

A project that represents much more than the 30th anniversary, because it denotes the values and attention that Fiam has for the territory: of the two Mini Ghost decorated by each designer, one will in fact be auctioned at a charity event organized by the company, and the proceeds will be donated to initiatives in support of the earthquake victims in Central Italy.

Ghost, immortal product entered in our collective imagination, shows once again its modernity, becoming the central point of the celebration of beauty and creative genius.

The Mini Ghost decorated exclusively for the project, realized with the collaboration of important companies such as AGC Glass Europe, Biesse Group, Fiandre, and Oece, will be presented at the new Fiam booth, Hall 5 - Stand B11, during the Furniture Fair.
