NEW FORMANI BY PIET BOON “INC” DOOR HANDLE WINS RED DOT DESIGN AWARD

The new hardware series of FORMANI by studio Piet Boon

The new INC door handle, designed by internationally renowned design studio Studio Piet Boon and created by the manufacturer of door, window and furniture fittings FORMANI, has won the Red Dot Design Award 2019 in the "Product Design" category. The jury of the prominent award praises the winning design for its powerful lines and tangible properties.

Soft curves and an excellent grip is what characterizes the winning design of the door handle of FORMANI by PIET BOON. Starting out as a circular cylinder volume, the INC took shape after flattening the circle and tapering the end. This provides the handle with a smooth inclination, after which the INC is named. The winning door handle is part of the complete INC hardware series, consisting of door fittings, window fittings, furniture fittings and other accessories. The balanced series will be available in satin stainless steel and PVD gunmetal black, making it suitable for any interior.

The award is the culmination of the unique ten-year collaboration between FORMANI and Studio Piet Boon, which celebrated the collaboration with the introduction of two new hardware series: INC and ARC. The two new series thus follow the successful ONE and TWO hardware series, which are currently sold in 45 countries.

The FORMANI by PIET BOON hardware collections will be available from September 1st, 2019.
