TRINIDAD IN NEW COLOUR PALETTE

In addition to working with wood, Nanna Ditzel loved to combine colours and through the years since Trinidad debuted in 1993, Fredericia has produced the chair in a variety of eye catching and on trend colours. Continuing to be trend leaders, Fredericia has developed a new colour palette for Trinidad for 2015. Ever present with modern times, Fredericia is introducing six new hues, which are more dusty and subtle than in previous collections.

The new colours are shades of green, blue, nougat, yellow, grey and red, with environment inspired names of Ocean, Storm, Mountain, Mustard, Stone and Berry. Departing from the monochrome trend, these new shades will be on a black powder coated frame. The new Trinidad colour collection will debut at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2015.

Trinidad is probably Nanna Ditzel''s most famous piece of furniture. An eye-catching dining chair with fan-shaped carving that lends an almost transparent lightness to the chair, which was inspired by the fretwork in colonial Caribbean architecture.

Nanna Ditzel wanted to design a chair which would fit both room and people. It had to have a solid presence while appearing light, and communicate with space and light as well as encapsulating the user. In addition to its perfectly shaped design, Trinidad is also a very comfortable dining chair by virtue of its ventilated back and seat.

Trinidad New Colours can be found in Fredericia''s Store & Showroom at Israels Plads in Copenhagen and Showroom in Tokyo, Japan, as well as in selected design stores in Scandinavia, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and the USA from February 2015.
