“Mask” wall lamp

This wall lamp was created in 1923. A rigorous geometry and a simple volume help

reveal the mineral nature of alabaster and the minimalist options of Pierre Chareau,

highlighted by the contrast between metal (black) and alabaster (white).

Made of two alabaster blocks mounted side by side (145 or 185 mm of width), facing forward on a metal plate and separated by a metal leaf.

All our lightings are hand-made by French craftsmen.

This 1924 chair is unquestionably the most elaborate of the Pierre Chareau armchairs. The very soft appearance and the curled armrests built on the scrolled-form posts beck on you to sit down.
