GM RAILING Solo Y - Ganzglasgeländer

GM RAILING-Oberanger Business House

In the heart of Munich, a representative office and commercial building has been built in an exposed location. The Oberanger was already an important marketplace in the Middle Ages and the goal was to develop a high-quality address at the sensitive point, which is appropriate for design and urban planning. The winner design, selected from an international architectural competition, was finally from the Berlin office Prof. Volker Staab Architects.

The exterior of the house looks particularly elegant thanks to its floral ornamentation. In order to make this readable for the viewer, the creative qualities of the historic facades of Munich were defined and taken up again in the façade of the new building in adapted form.

GM RAILING's all-glass Solo Y railings on the roof terrace combined with bronze are designed to set accents. The project establishes a completely new style and sets standards in terms of the reinterpretation of historic facades in the old town. In this way, the new building fits into its historic and grown environment without giving up the flexibility that is important for use.
