GM RAILING Plan - all glass railings

For highest architectural needs

“It was important to us,” the responsible interior architect from Göttinger Architectural Office states, “to create a lounge-like meeting place in the centre of the building complex, a sort of constructed, inviting gesture that is supposed to promote communication between Sparkasse employees and customers.” Thus, continuous glass panels in the customer reception hall connect the visible employees on the ground floor with the board’s conference rooms on the upper floor. The ceiling structure located in between is lined with partially floor-to-ceiling all-glass railings by GM RAILING®.

What starts as glazing preventing falls at the railing merges flush with the construction at the contact point on the floor. The exterior glass area exceeds the floor and ceiling constructions and only ends at its intersection with the ceiling lying below. The mounts themselves cannot be seen, there are no protruding elements on the outside of the glass and there is no change in materials.
