CREA-LITE: Decorative safety glass combining texture and colour
CREA-LITE is obtained by the softening of clear or body-tinted glass. First, starting with a digital photo or file, a mould is prepared with a bespoke texture (maximum 11 mm). The glass is then placed in the mould and heated to a high temperature (around 800 °C). Thermoforming is done progressively, and the glass then takes on the 3D shape of the mould through gravity. The glass is then toughened. CREA-LITE may also be coloured using the glass-printing technique. Powders are applied to the surface and vitrified during the glass oven annealing cycle.
