With a cool look and improved functions for the new season

Frauenfeld, December 2021 – With its giant parasols PALAZZO® Style, Noblesse and Royal, parasol expert GLATZ offers hotels and restaurants a shading solution whose countless customised design variations can be perfectly tailored to individual design wishes for facades and terraces. The line also appeals with its holistic approach to modern design and form language. For the 2022 season, the manufacturer has further optimised the looks and selected functions of the line. These robust, multifunction parasols impress with even greater ease of use, increased wind stability and corrosion resistance.

As hosts wish to encourage guests to linger, light and warmth play a significant role in outdoor areas. With improved controlling of the LED lighting system, heaters and motor, GLATZ ensures cosy comfort and ease of use in operation. All functions can be performed easily and intuitively via remote control. Now integrated into the struts, the LEDs can be separately controlled for direct or indirect, dimmable lighting in a choice of red, yellow, blue or warm white to create a unique atmosphere under the parasol roof. All control components and wiring are integrated into the mast and frame for an elegant appearance.

Customised parasols for all weathers in outdoor areas

Just as customers enjoy an infinite selection of fabrics and many timeless colours, the same applies to the frame which comes in a matt anodised standard or anthracite version as well as in any RAL colour for a surcharge. The roof pitch has been further reduced on all parasols to create an even more modern look. A rain gutter connecting the parasols can therefore be easier fixed in place. Along with high quality sides, the parasols are best equipped for use in the windy, rainy season of the year. Depending on the model, wind speeds of up to 115 kilometres an hour can be withstood.

Robust and easy to handle

From hand cranks to motors, PALAZZO® parasols can be opened and closed quickly and easily thanks to the patented opposite opening principle at a good closing height above furniture. By using even higher quality materials such as fiber glass reinforced plastic, stainless steel, and tougher powder coating, GLATZ has improved the corrosion resistance of the parasols and has thus better equipped them to withstand bad weather. The frame hinges, strut ends and supports of the frame have been reworked to ensure less scuffing during operation which contributes to the enduring quality of the coating. Thanks to new covers made of laminated plastic or aluminium in the same colour as the frame, the concrete bases with steel frame can be elegantly concealed. The covers are available for different sizes and base weight classes.
