The EU has strict regulations driving the shift to eco-friendly heat pumps: in October 2023, the European Commission and Parliament agreed to phase out global warming/ozone-depleting substances, fully ending HFC consumption by 2050 and banning small (≤12KW) monobloc heat pumps/ACs using HFCs with GWP＞150 by 2027 (complete elimination by 2032).
