NEW: ETFE architectural fabric by Hightex

In memoriam of the victims of the bomb attack at the railway terminal Atocha in Madrid on the 11th of March 2004 the Spanish Royal Family inaugurated the memory of the terror attack on its third anniversary

The structure was designed by FAM, a group of young architects in Madrid. The architects designed an envelope made from glass with oval shape footprint on top of the sub terrain visitor room. The memorial symbolises the “cry of hope to the city” from the “place of pain” in the depths of the railway station. The ETFE foil is printed with notes of condolence from all over the world which were dropped into a box placed at the site right after the attack.Another application where Hightex’s position as a world leader in creating tensile structures and fabric architecture in tensioned membranes such as PTFE, PVC, and ETFE is realised.
