Homematic IP turns the smartphone into a smart key. With the new Homematic IP Door Lock Drive, front doors can be easily opened and locked via smartphone. In the Homematic IP app, the user can cheack the status of the door and any settings at all times. The Door Lock Drive can be combined with more than 100 smart home products from the Homematic IP range. No other provider of a smart door lock covers as many application areas in the smart home as Homematic IP. The product is available online, in retail stores and through qualified installation professionals.

With the Homematic IP Door Lock Drive, homeowners and tenants can do without carrying a key and still never have to rely on the help of a locksmith. A quick reach for the smartphone is all it takes to lock, unlock or open the door - regardless of whether the user is a few meters or thousands of kilometers away. An ideal complement to the Door Lock Drive is the new Homematic IP Key Ring Remote Control – access control. With it, the door can be opened conveniently at the touch of a button, even without a smartphone. Manual unlocking and closing is possible at any time via the rotary wheel, which means that the door can also be used easily in an emergency situation. Practical: The door can still be opened and locked with a conventional key.

Access authorizations can be easily assigned in the Homematic IP app, for example to the family, household help, care service or even guests - permanently or only for certain times. Therefore, it’s unnecessary to duplicate keys. In the app, you can also specify the days and times at which the door is automatically locked. For example, the door reliably closes at 10 p.m. every day. Nights in which an unlocked front door invites burglars are a thing of the past.

The installation of the electronic Door Lock Drive is extremely simple and takes place without drilling or screwing. The Door Lock Drive is not visible from the outside. The device is simply placed on the existing cylinder on the inside of the door and can be removed without leaving any residue if necessary - perfect for your own home or rented apartment. The security of the lock cylinder is not affected by the Door Lock Drive. The product is also subject to the same high security standard as the entire Homematic IP system, whose protocol, IT and data security is certified by VDE. No personal data of any kind is collected.

The Door Lock Drive is connected via Homematic IP Access Point to the Homematic IP Cloud and to all other Homematic IP devices. The new Homematic IP Starter Set Access therefore also includes an Access Point in addition to the Door Lock Drive and the Key Ring Remote Control – access control. This means that even Homematic IP newcomers can put the door lock drive into operation and use it within a few minutes.
