When Dispensing Becomes Part of the Architecture

The best hospitality spaces are designed with intention.

Every visible element contributes to the guest experience, from the materials and lighting to the furniture, equipment, and product presentation. In these environments, even food dispensing systems become part of the architectural language.

Kith Treats' first UK flagship on London's Regent Street is a great example of this approach. Located within Kith's new London flagship, the space combines the building's historic character with contemporary materials including Rosa Portugalo and Azul Cielo marble, stainless steel accents, and a soft pastel palette to create an interior that feels both refined and welcoming.

Rather than concealing the toppings station, the designers chose to make it part of the visual experience.

The installation features four IDM H50 Turn & Serve candy dispenser sets, arranged in two different configurations that integrate naturally into the overall composition of the space. Two quintuple sets create a long horizontal feature, while another two are stacked vertically, demonstrating how dispensing systems can adapt to different architectural layouts while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

Designing Beyond Function

Foodservice equipment is often selected late in a project, once the interior has already been defined.

The result is frequently a compromise between operational requirements and the original design vision.

Projects like Kith Treats London demonstrate a different approach.

By considering dispensing equipment as part of the design process, it becomes possible to create solutions that support both operational efficiency and the overall aesthetic of the space.

The transparent cylindrical containers present ingredients clearly while complementing the surrounding materials instead of competing with them. The result is a toppings station that feels integrated into the interior rather than added afterwards.
