The Pedestal Line at the Brera Design District

The terrace that celebrates the union between sky and earth

Impertek’s participation in 4G Glass Garden Granatum Grape, the event organised by PAYSAGE Editore and hosted on 18 April 2018 on the occasion of the Milan Design Week to celebrate the purity of architecture and the strength of nature, was a huge success.

An aperitif was served on the charming Santambrogio Terrace in the Brera Design District, with the participation of Studio Matteo Thun & Partners, more than 300 international architects and visionary Patrick Blanc, inventor of the vertical garden, with an unexpected speech on the union between Sky and Earth, between the city of Milan and the Terrace, with its hanging vineyard and white glass flooring resting on the Impertek supports of the Pedestal Line.

“The Terrace”, the exclusive location of the event, is a true work of art in the open air, a perfect blend of architecture, glass, city and nature. Its light glass walls reveal Milan’s magnificent skyline, whereas the white slabs of its floor are in contrast with the dramatic sky over the city. In this place, the strength of architecture and the lightness of glass are accompanied by vines, pomegranate and laurel trees, which reflect the deep roots of our culture and take on an extraordinary symbolic value.

It is no surprise that Impertek was the sponsor of the evening and of such a unique location: the flooring, consisting of a floating panel obtained by combining back-painted, non-slip glass panels with aluminium panels, rests on the adjustable supports of the Pedestal Line. Perfectly levelled, subtle and capable of holding weights up to 1000 kg, Impertek’s products have allowed “The Terrace” to reach out to the sky and immerse itself in the Beauty of the city.
