ISSOL relaunches activities with new investors

ISSOL, one of the leaders in the architectural photovoltaic market in terms of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) solutions, today announces it has relaunched its activities with a strong financial position thanks to new investors.

Olivier Demeijer, Managing Director of ISSOL, together with four other investors, bought the company based near Liège and injected a total of €1 million in working capital. Following bankruptcy in September 2019, which halted production for a few months, operations restarted in January already, thanks to the trust placed in the company by employees and customers.

ISSOL has been completing and delivering existing projects, whilst also chasing new challenges. Production is running for iconic projects like Poste du Louvre in Paris or the Gare Maritime in Brussels. The company is also currently producing the glazing for the Botasolar project in Brussels, a unique project in cooperation with Ney & Partners, Sunsoak and Stephano Immo. On the other hand, ISSOL is also ready for projects that are more mainstream.

Olivier Demeijer, who has more than twenty years of experience in industrial manufacturing and turnaround management, commented, “Apart from our leading and iconic landmark projects, we strongly believe in building-integrated photovoltaics solutions as a mainstream application. We will focus on the diversification of our customer portfolio through an expansion of our products to mass markets.”

ISSOL’s employees have stayed with the company, which today can count on a staff of 18 highly qualified people with extensive knowledge of BIPV products and all the aspects related to it – glazing design, engineering, building site assistance, customization and more. Demeijer confirmed, “ISSOL continues to deliver projects on an international scale thanks to a fully committed team and top-notch machinery. We are

looking forward to meeting with all of our stakeholders soon.”
