Custom Jewels light installation in newly rebuild TQ building, Eindhoven, the Netherlands
350 Jewels installation to light up five floor office and school building in Strijp-T.
The former Philips territory Strijp-T has been a gem for decades. Located in a central part of the city of Eindhoven 2018 has been the year of the reincarnation of multiple old factory buildings, including the biggest one among all the TQ building. TQ is by far the largest building in Strijp-T, with more than 40,000 m2 of floor space. The spaces can be arranged flexibly, and the building can be cleverly split up. This makes it possible for smaller companies and start-ups in the field of innovation to rent a place.
JSPR was commissioned to create a custom light installation stretching 5 floors down and lighting up the near by staircase and elevator space. A custom Jewels light fixture was created approx. ~2 meter wide and 25meter long featuring 350 separate pendants. The installation was split in 12 channels to create a glistening, star filled sky effect.
