KAROISTANBUL CEMENT TILES

The handmade Karoistanbul encaustic cement tiles are produced by a method where a mixture of high quality cement, marble powder, natural stones granules, natural color pigments and sand is pressed under high pressure.

The high pressure pressing method ensures that KaroIstanbul encaustic cement tiles have lower absorbtion and are much stronger than the traditional cement tiles.

The colour pigments used are UV resistant.

The cement tiles are set by means of a high quality ceramic adhesive.

Sealant(s) that does not form a film layer on the surface has to be applied.

Chemical polish or varnish that forms a film layer on the surface is not recommended.

Acidic cleaning agents are never used for cleaning or maintenance on the cement tiles.

KaroIstanbul cement tiles are durable to be used in high traffic areas such as hotels, restaurants, cafes and shopping malls as well as homes. These cement tiles are suitable for both floors and walls. They can be used indoors or outdoor areas that are not subject to snow and frost.
