Kermi GmbH now also provides BIM data
The implementation of the BIM strategy (Building Information Modelling) a universal digital process in the construction industry is already common practice during tendering processes in Scandinavia, the UK and several other countries.
In collaboration with Autodesk, Kermi has now processed BIM data in form of Autodesk Revit families (*rfa) for the integrated planning process. In addition to the radiators, BIM data are also available for the Kermi heat pumps and heat storage systems. In addition to geometries the BIM data also include technical attributes such as dimensions, connection arrangements, performance data and energy ratings.
In this way, Kermi continues to invest in the approach that began many years ago with the preparation of the VDI 3805 files by adding technical product properties to the 2D/3D geometry data, to support and facilitate actively the integrated planning process.
BIM data formats can be generated from the VDI 3805 data format, making Kermi products available to architects, technical planners, development companies or contractors in a wide range of planning programs.
