NEW: acoustic insulation by KIMMCO

KIMMCO Sound Guard System "mass - spring - mass" are essential part of controlling noise transmission between rooms. The acoustic wall absorbs sound vibration within the wall cavity to control the noise. The acoustic wall system "mass - spring - mass' consist of glass wool, metal stud placed into the track. The wall covering is fitted to both sides with gypsum board. The metal stud & track form a framework to support fibre glass wool and gypsum board. In the double leaf lightweight wall, during sound transmission some of the sound wave energy converted into heat due to the friction occurring between the sound wave and the fibre insulation. This converted sound energy can be maximized by increasing the thickness of the fibre insulation layer.

Applications

Acoustic insulation for partition walls

Facing & Covering None

Performances

Glasswool is dimensionally stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity and will not slump over time. it is odourless, non hygroscopic and will not sustain vermin or fungus. It will maintain original properties over time
