Laminam façade application

Laminam for the ventilated façade of Panmure Station in Auckland, New Zealand

2015

Bus and trains transport interchange

Panmure, Auckland

Project: Opus Architecture

Filo, Ghisa

1000x3000mm

With about 1,700 passengers a day, Panmure is currently one of the busiest rail stations in the region.

This architectural project includes a new central pedestrian plaza linking both sides of the rail tracks, two lifts, escalators to both platforms and four sets of stairs at the main access points.

Ceramic slabs of the Filo collection in Ghisa color are used to embellish the building’s glass façade, creating separated volumes that highlight and at the same time shade the building’s functional elements such as the entrance, the ticket office and the toilets.

Result of Laminam technology and research into material, Filo collection is characterized by an amazing texture, stemming from the image of a glistening wire continually twisted to form a woven pattern, a shiny metallic surface.

Technical features of Laminam ceramic slab:

• Resistant to stratching and abrasion

• Resistant to mould and fungi

• Stain resistant

• Resistant to chemicals

• Resistant to UV light, no alteration to colours

• Hygienic surface

• Easy to clean and maintain

• Easy manufacturing

• Suitable for contact with foodstuffs
